How Does the Program Work?
The senior meets with a trained caseworker who
- Helps to assess eligibility for various pharmaceutical programs
- Completes appropriate application forms and procedures
- Assists with the contact to the physician
- Mails necessary forms, and
- Conducts important follow ups
How Long Does the Process Take?
Generally 4-6 weeks after the application forms or procedures are completed and delivered to your doctor. This varies by pharmaceutical company.

- Not eligible for Medicaid, have no other prescription insurance
- Agree to the conditions of participation
- Meet drug company income guidelines
While an individual may be eligible for the assistance of the caseworker to help access existing prescription drug patient assistance programs, it does not necessarily mean that all persons will receive free medications.
