Arts & Music
Many hand-made crafts are on display and available for purchase.
Join voices in fun sing-a-longs or appreciate music by favorite country and jazz bands and school choirs.

Computer Lab

Belpre Center is fortunate to be able to provide our community with a computer lab with internet access for our seniors. Call (740) 423-6022 for info on times to access the computers. 
    
Cooking Club
Share in preparing a deliciously, healthy meal. $6 gets you lunch and a “take-home” sample of the meal. Meets monthly on the third Fridays with an occasional “outing” to a local restaurant. Call (740) 423-6022 to reserve your place at the table!

Fitness & Dance

Staying active is key to staying healthy and there are lots of options at Belpre Senior Center. All instructors are certified in their particular class.

Games
A variety of card games, dominoes, board games or Wii keeps the competition sharp! Players gather right after lunch on Tuesdays or Thursdays as well as each Friday evening at 6 p.m.

Health Screenings
Free blood pressure, blood sugar screenings plus weight monitoring is offered by various home health agencies at least once weekly. Call for schedule.

Health Education
Health care professionals offer tips on topics such as staying healthy, managing chronic diseases such as arthritis or diabetes, as well as latest treatments for a wide variety of health-related issues. All ages are welcome at health programs.

Lunch
The Belpre Senior Club provides a delicious home-cooked meal on Tuesdays and Thursdays for just $3. Seniors 55 years of age and up gather for fellowship, games or special programs usually by 11 a.m. Lunch is served at Noon (please arrive by 11:45 am to be served lunch at noon). Local van transportation is available by making a pick-up request before 10 a.m.

Social
Making friends and staying socially active is important to good mental health, not to mention just being lots of fun! There are regular “theme” parties related to holidays or “just for fun parties” on a monthly basis. Check out the latest (or old-time favorite) movies on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Free popcorn and soft drinks.

Special Events
You might choose to go on a boat ride or enjoy a special dinner and music on a Friday or Saturday evening. It might be a special 70’s “Disco” party, a Country Hoe-Down or relaxing picnic in the park before a community concert. Ask for upcoming details.
